Welcome

Our Mission

Bridge of Hope Harrisburg Area's mission is to end and prevent homelessness for women and children with the help of trained mentoring groups within congregations.

This occurs through a three-way partnership which links a family with professionally trained Bridge of Hope social service staff and mentoring groups drawn from local church congregations.

Through this 3-way model, single mothers achieve their own permanent housing and financial stability through employment and budget planning. They attain stability and enhanced self esteem through ongoing mentoring friendships. Our goal is to exemplify Christ's love and to promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wholeness.

Bridge of Hope Harrisburg Area welcomes all women regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.

Four Graduate in 2012 – Let’s Help More in 2013
At the beginning of 2012, six (6) single moms were in the program and four (4) successfully graduated from the program having achieved their goals of working a stable job, paying their own apartment, developing new life skills, and building strong friendships: all qualities that will keep their families from being homeless again. Please join us in congratulating these women for the strides they have made. Read their stories!
As 2013 starts, three (3) single moms are being supported through the program.  We are prayerfully looking to bring in 2 more moms by the end of April and a 3rd by summer.
Please consider helping us rescue more homeless women and children. It takes approximately $50/day to help one family.  Any financial support amount and your prayers can help make a difference in the local community!
